A unique way to donate money to your church or school – that could also save you money!

Friday, February 11th, 2011

If you are a Church Telecom residential customer Church Telecom will donate the cash equivalent of 10% of your eligible landline call charges each quarter to any parish or school you nominate. Residential Customers can also save themselves money through a very competitive home landline and broadband package.

Church Telecom is a working partnership between Church Resources (a not for profit), and UTV New Media.
When a resident signs up with Church Telecom, they are asked to nominate either a Parish or a School. Church Telecom will then donate the cash equivalent of 10% of their eligible landline call charges each quarter to this nominated beneficiary (Premium rate calls and directory enquiries are not included).

The Parish of the Holy Redeemer received their first donation last November – see the picture above.

Church Resources operates for the benefit of the Christian Churches and, through the buying power of this wide group, we can offer substantial savings to our institutional partners like Dioceses, Parishes, Schools, Care Facilities and associate businesses.

UTV Internet is a licensed Telecoms provider in NI/UK and ROI. They supply the connectivity to landline and broadband, technical support and billing operations.

So why not organize a group of parishioners or parents of school-going students to sign up. It could help your parish and save you money.

Silver Cross of Turin- From Milestones of Life

Monday, January 31st, 2011

Church Services Tv is delighted to announce on behalf of Church Resources the a launch of very special and unique product indeed.   The Silver Cross of Turin- Brought to you by Milestones of Life

“He was wounded for our iniquities and bruised for our sins.” (Isaias 1: 6)

For the first time ever, forensic science has been able to reveal the true manner and form in which Our Blessed Lord, Jesus Christ, was crucified. The Turin Cross depicts exactly how Our Lord sacrificed Himself for us. And now, the form of that cross has gone into production with Milestones of Life Jewelry.

The Turin Cross is based on scientific analysis of the Shroud of Turin, the burial cloth of our Blessed Saviour. The Shroud presents us with the tangible evidence for the Gospel accounts of Our Lord’s torture, crucifixion, death, burial and resurrection.

Blood traces on the shroud reveal the angle that Our Lord’s arms hung on the cross and the fact that the arms were tied tightly to the beams of the cross. This evidence gives us the shape of the Turin Cross: exactly that which appears on the Gothic chasuble.

The Shroud proves the nails were driven through the hand near the wrist.

The Shroud indicates that the right leg was stretched flat on the cross and the left foot was nailed on top of the right foot using only one nail. To accomplish this, a cavity for the right heel was carved into the cross, the right leg was stretched flat on the cross and the left foot was nailed through the right foot onto a wedge shaped foot rest.

Traces of blood on the Shroud indicate that the Crown of Thorns also covered the top of Our Lord’s head.

The Shroud indicates that the lance entered Our Lord’s side between the 5th and 6th ribs of the right side while He was still on the cross.

The Shroud most clearly shows the extent and intensity of the Scourging of Our Lord. He was lacerated front and back, by multiple persons, with multiple instruments, such that His whole body was criss-crossed with bloody wounds, bruises and swelling sores.

“The only thing I can boast about is the cross of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.” (Gal. 6: 14)

The Cross of Turin has been replicated in silver by Milestones of Life Jewelry. A Special 20% discount off all the price is available ONLY to members of Church Resources.
